Steve Smith’s mind game before the Test series
Melbourne, Nov 14 |
Australian ‘run machine’ Steve Smith has challenged the Indian fast bowlers ahead of the upcoming Test series, saying that he has faced so many short balls in his life that he no longer feels scared.
The former captain said that only Australia would benefit by putting a short ball in front of him.
He told News Corps, “If teams are thinking of bowling short balls to me, then it will benefit our team because I have played such balls so much in my life that there is no tension anymore.”
Smith was dismissed by short-bowled four times by left-arm fast bowler Neil Wegner against New Zealand last season.
Smith said that Wagner had bowled brilliantly but others would not be able to repeat him.
He said, “Some other opposing teams tried but could not do as Wegner did. He is an amazing bowler.”
