I want to play consistently well for India : Tete

Defender Salima Tete, who made a place in the Indian women’s hockey team last year, wants to make her place in the Tokyo Olympic team after performing consistently well.
Tete was part of the team that won the FIH Women’s Series Finals in Hiroshima last year.
He said in a Hockey India release, “2019 was a very important year for me. I am a regular member of the Indian team since last year and am fortunate to have been a part of the team that won the women’s series finals and the Olympic qualifiers. “
He said, “I want to continuously improve my game and look forward to doing well for the team for the next few years.” Continuous good performance is essential for any player and that is my priority.”
Regarding the preparations for the Olympics, he said, “We want to keep the preparations for the Olympics strong. If Hockey India and Sai do not have this much cooperation then our preparations would not have started. Preparation of the team is going in the right direction. There is a good combination of experienced and young players.”
